Rapper Lil Baby found himself in big trouble after being arrested for possessing an illegal weapon in Las Vegas.
According to TMZ, the rapper (birth name Dominique Jones) was arrested Monday night (Aug. 26) for carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, which is a felony. He was taken into custody at the Clark County Detention Center, where he was being held on a $5,000 bail.
At press time, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police have yet to release details about the matter.
Lil Baby’s attorneys, Drew Findling and David Chesnoff, issued a statement to TMZ:
“To be clear, Dominique Jones has a valid Georgia Carrying a Concealed Weapon (CCW) Permit. On his behalf, we are actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding his arrest in Las Vegas.”
Previously, the “Drip Too Hard” hitmaker was arrested in 2019 in Atlanta for failure to signal, eluding police and reckless driving. In 2021, he was arrested in Paris for smoking weed inside a car.
This is a developing story.
