According to TMZ, T.I. was catching a flight at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport and was arrested. There was an active warrant for a different Clifford Harris and mistakenly arrested Tip. The Clifford Harris police were looking for a man from Baltimore, Maryland who had a warrant for violent acts towards women.
The ATL rapper was free (expeditiously) within two hours of the false arrest. This isn’t the first time the trap music pioneer has been arrested. In 2018, T.I. tried to enter his gated community late at night but was denied entry by a security guard. Leading to TIP’s arrest for public intoxication and disorderly conduct. His lawyer claims the arrest was a case of mistaken identity and that T.I. was not behaving aggressively. The rapper was later released.
