Patrick Mahomes Sr., the father of NFL superstar Patrick Mahomes, is probably having a rough week. Well, more like ten days.
Mahomes Sr. is currently serving a 10-day jail bid for a drunk drive conviction earlier this year. His time is being served inside the Smith County Jail in Tyler, Texas. He was booked on Tuesday, October 22.
Mahomes Sr. was arrested in February for a drunk driving infraction. He was originally pulled over for expired registration on his vehicle. This is reportedly his third drunk driving offense.

“My son is getting ready to play in the f—ing Super Bowl,” Mahomes Sr. pleads to the police. “I am not drunk, I promise you. I’ve had some drinks, but he can’t have this right now. This can’t happen.”
After failing a field sobriety test Mahomes Sr. continues, ““Dude. This is crazy. My son is getting ready to play in the f—ing Super Bowl and I’m doing interviews, five or six a day. And then, now, this s—‘s going to be on the news which is going to f— with him, and it’s probably going to f— him up.”
Mahomes Sr. bonded out that night and was in the stands when his son won his third championship eight days later.
