When the Oval Office was a golf cart
Donald Trump spends so much time on his golf courses that, according to the Post, he literally held the campaign event where he called Harris “lazy” AT HIS GOLF RESORT. A major theme throughout his presidency was that he seemed to confuse his chair in the Oval Office for the front seat of his golf cart. Hell, Trump is so lazy that he recently cut a town hall short and started swaying off-beat to music in silence for nearly 40 minutes.
As Ms. Ida B. Wells-Barnett would say:
I mean, Trump is calling Harris lazy, using this as evidence: after more than two unbroken weeks of working, she took a single day off. Meanwhile, he significantly reduced campaigning over the summer and had just begun scheduling consistent events this month. The hypocrisy would be astounding if it weren’t so typical of him.
Look: Harris has been a district attorney, an attorney general, a U.S. senator, the vice president of the United. States, and she is now neck-and-neck with Trump in a presidential race that wasn’t supposed to be tight for him. You don’t get where she is by being lazy, and the only people who think “she’s got that reputation” are racist, misogynistic, and woefully insecure white people who resent the success of Black women but would never put their resumes up against hers.
However, when it comes to anti-Black bigotry, Donald Trump has certainly “got that reputation,” documented for the world to see, of being a dog-whistling racist. That reputation includes an allegation that he once told a colleague that “laziness is a trait in Blacks.” (Sound familiar?)
During the speech, Trump also called Harris “slow,” a “low-IQ person,” “the worst,” and a “radical left lunatic.”
Again, no substance, just personal insults, thinly veiled racism, and a whole lot of projection.
Sad!
