The ‘Beyoncé Bowl’ was definitely an performance to remember during the Baltimore Ravens-Houston Texans game on Christmas day. The Houston Native’s “Cowboy Carter” themed halftime performance was even more special as she shined a spotlight on rodeo and western culture and featured North Texas artists: Grapevine Native Post Malone and Coppell native guitarist Emily Elbert.

Although Beyoncé was snubbed at the 2024 Country Music Awards, here’s how she clapped back, incorporating significant figures in Rodeo and Western culture in her first-ever live performance of Cowboy Carter.

Beyoncé’s CMA Snub Highlights Country Music’s Racism Problem

1. She made a grand entrance with four Black Country singers: Tanner Adell, Brittney Spencer, Reyna Roberts, and Tiera Kennedy.
2. Arkansas’ first Black Rodeo Queen Ja’Dayia Kursh was incorperated in the performance.
3. Beyoncé included special guests Myrtis Digthman, Sr, the ” Jackie Robenson  of Rodeo” who broke major color barriors in the sport.
4. Texas Southern University’s 200-member Ocean of Soul Marching Band backed Beyoncé up the entire performance.
5. She sang a duet version of her “spaghettii” with country artist Shaboozy
6. The flowers on the carriage date back to Juneteenth parades
