“On the occasion of Black History Month, it is crucial that we uplift the accomplishments of young Black professionals who are breaking barriers in their fields,” Council wrote in a resolution celebrating Lockwood.

Prior to Lockwood’s time in the big leagues, she spent time as a strength and conditioning intern for major collegiate athletic programs from 2017-2020. Lockwood spent time with Arizona (2017), UNLV (2017-2018), East Tennessee State (2018-2021),

Lockwood gained her first NFL experience in 2019, as an intern for the Atlanta Falcons’ strength staff during organized team activities.

From there, Lockwood was able to return to East Tennessee State as Assistant Director of Basketball Sports Performance. This led her to her next role as Director of Sports Performance at Houston University.

Lockwood was able to leverage her collegiate experience to make a professional leap back to the NFL, landing a job with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022.

She originally joined the organization as a strength and conditioning associate in 2022. Lockwood was named an associate performance coach by the Philadelphia Eagles during the 2023 offseason.
