Hey crafters, I’ve got some tough news. Joann Fabrics, our beloved go-to for all things arts and crafts, is closing all its stores after more than 80 years in business.
The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection for the second time in a year, citing declining consumer demand and inventory issues.
Going-out-of-business sales are starting immediately, both in-store and online. If you have gift cards, make sure to use them by February 28th, as they won’t be valid afterward.
Joann’s closure is a significant loss for the crafting community, as it has been a staple for affordable supplies and inspiration for decades. The company expressed deep gratitude to its team members and customers for their support over the years.
As we say goodbye to Joann Fabrics, let’s cherish the memories and creativity it has inspired in all of us.
