Rep. Al Green Looking To Impeach President Trump For Third Time

There are two types of democrats: those who acquiesce to President Trump and his demands and those like Rep. Al Green who are tired of the orange man and his stupid red hat. 

Which is why the Texas democrat will bring articles of impeachment against “Orange Thanos with the tiny hands” in the next 30 days. 

According to The Hill, Green spoke passionately, Saturday, during the “Hands Off!” rally — an anti-Trump hate-a-thon in Washington, D.C., Saturday — where he told protesters that President Trump doesn’t deserve to hold office. 

“We need a Senate that will convict him this time, and I want you to know, from my heart, from my heart, I understand that he is a Goliath,” Green said, The Hill reports. “He is a Goliath. He has control of the generals in the military. He has control of the Justice Department. He has control of the Republican Party, but my friends, my friends, for every Goliath, there is a David.” 

“And I want you to know, Mr. President, this David is going to bring articles of impeachment against you within the next 30 days. Within the next 30 days, I’m bringing articles of impeachment. I’m coming for you. Mr. President, this David is coming for you,” Green said. 

Green, who raised his body and his cane to protest against the current administration during President Trump’s phony State of the Union (joint congressional address is what they called it,) told the crowd that the “Orange ogre in office” wasn’t fit or anything but losing the job he currently has. 

“You can’t be entrusted with liberty and justice for all. You can’t be entrusted with government of the people by the people for the people. I’m coming for you. I’m your David. God bless you,” Green said. 

This isn’t Green’s first rodeo as he filed articles of impeachment during Trump’s first term.

Trump was impeached by the U.S. House of Representatives twice during his first four years as president. In 2019, his impeachment was prompted by an inquiry from Democrats over allegations he pressured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to dig up political dirt on Joe Biden; in 2021, he was impeached over charges of inciting an insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. 

In both cases, lawmakers in the U.S. Senate ultimately acquitted Trump.

Impeachment articles would have virtually no chance of approval anytime soon in either congressional chamber, both of which are controlled by Republicans.

Even if Green’s impeachment attempt falls flat (which it totally will,) it’s another feather in the stupid red cap of a man who’s building a Kanye-like list of disgraces in office. As it stands, President Trump and his administration have flatlined the federal government,  the stock market is heading toward a gigantic collapse, and pillars like Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid are hanging on for dear life. 

Trump’s “position is clear: he will always protect Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid for eligible beneficiaries,” White House assistant press secretary Liz Huston told The Hill.

“Meanwhile, the Democrats’ stance is giving Social Security, Medicaid, and Medicare benefits to illegal aliens, which will bankrupt these programs and crush American seniors,” Huston said.

Clearly, the truth has never stopped the Trump administration from holding on to a lie, because undocumented immigrants are not eligible for federally funded healthcare programs like Medicaid and they also don’t get Social Security benefits and you can read about that here.
